let me take a crack at this. Just for fun.
JOB # 32551S...a 32 Chevrolet , model designation 551 , sedan/coach, S might be special sedan ??? BODY # N would stand for NORWOOD OHIO PLANT and it was 11768 vehicle down the line ?

Job 32551 is a 1932 Coach, not a Special Sedan. The Job Number for a 1932 Special Sedan is 32569. Body # N11768 designates that your vehicle was the 11,768th Coach down the assembly line in the Norwood factory in 1932. Note: The Car Serial Number that is on the plate that is attached to the passenger side wood main sill designates the total number of the run at that point in the Norwood factory in 1932.

836573 is the casting number for a 1932 block (pt#363700). Paint code 89 is Black with ocean green and gold bronze striping. wheels were either ocean green or black. I do not have the interior code breakdown.

Thank you Steve, I'm getting closer. Good to know the car has a period correct motor. Ocean green a medium shade of green? Striping located just below window line? Currently car has black single tape stripe, will be gone soon. Again thanks for the info

Good details!
Maybe I am confusing myself with some other serial number format. I thought that a production run at a given plant started with the first unit as 1001 or 10001 or something like that. They did not start at 0.

I agree unless 1932 was different.
