Looking for a good auxiliary fuel pump back by the tank to prime the carb after an extended sit, and to help with fuel starvation on steep hills when it is 100*F outside and the car it at full operating temp.

Not a full time pump, but one that will flow through when not in use, and is low enough pressure I don't need to put in a regulator.

Also, what would be correct maximum output fuel pressure at the carb inlet? 3 PSIG? 4PSIG?

Thanks,
Doug

I have them on my 28 47 and 54 to use for filling the carb and backup. I bought them at O Rieliy’s I think they are rated at 4 psi.

The needle/seat in early 30s carburetors will not take high fuel pressure. If you are only going to use it intermittently the 3-4 psi pump should be okay. Most of the pumps will allow flow forward but not back. As long as it is installed correctly the mechanical pump should pull gas through it.

eBay seller z11pacer sells 6V auxiliary pumps that work well with the mechanical pump. Airtex is the manufacturer. Ask for your specific pressure and they will accommodate.
When my 35 sat for a few weeks I had the same problem. No more.
