I have a 32 coupe painted Ravenwood brown and dove grey and it has the required black wheels. My father always wanted to put a set of green wheels on the car but knew it was not correct. In his memory, i have collected a set of nice wheels that I plan on making green to use on the car for just tooling around with. I see there are two green wheel colors listed in the book, Ocean green and Karnak Green. The car has an Emerald green stripe and I would like to find the color wheel closest to that color. Does anyone have a car with those wheel colors or know which might be closer to the Emerald Green stripe ? Thanks for any help you can offer.

Looks like if you have those colors with black wheels that is color combination 94
if you are going to paint them, why not just paint them the Emerald Green you want ?!? using the Green wheels with that color will not be the correct color combo anyways. do them the color you want or get the local paint shop to do a color sample of the 3 greens and compare :)

I thought about that but I really wanted to keep with a Chevy color if one was close to my stripe color. I just bought a wheel color sample sheet from ebay for $5.00, it is a repro but the guy says the colors are accurate.

I don't have the color chips to check but spec# 115 has emerald green stripes with aqua green wire wheels Dulux #244. . Hood and body are dove gray.

Thanks for the info, hoping the color chips will clear things up a bit too. I did not see this color combination on the color chart for 1932.

It was listed on the sheet I have for a Deluxe Sports Roadster . In Dec. of 1932 they revised the spec and changed the stripe to Aqua green so I don't know if they felt the two colors were not a good match. I agree with the suggestion above to just go with the Emerald green and match the stripe. I think if you have two colors that don't match people are going to think that someone did a lousy job of matching the stripe to the wheels.

Hi Chevytech3238, I have a copy of the color chips for Chevrolet wheels. I also have the formula for Aqua Green. Aqua Green is the color green that is on Pinky Randall's 32 roadster wheels which are a correct match as I was involved in matching them. I have some pictures if you would like to see them.

Bruce, If you have a picture of Pinky's car that would be great. I think it was in a G+D maybe last year ?? I can dig thru my back issues and give a look. Thanks

Aqua Green is the color green that is on Pinky Randall's 32 roadster wheels which are a correct match as I was involved in matching them. From what Pinky told me recently and from what I understand, when Pinky had his fabulous 1932 roadster judged at a VCCA meet (don't recall which meet it was) the VCCA member that judged his car apparently told him that the green wheels on his roadster were incorrect because there were no green wheels used in 1932 and apparently points were deducted accordingly. Again, that is what I heard from Pinky. Not only were there green wheels in 1932, the Aqua Green wheels are correct for the roadster color combination that is on Pinky's 1932 roadster.

One meet where Pinky's '32 Roadster was judged was the 55th Anniversary Meet at Lake Tahoe. It was just finished prior to that meet.
