Any Referrals for Chrome Plating Company's here on the East Coast? I live here in Massachusetts! Near by states would be fine! I had used a Chrome Plating Company in RI awhile back but can not seem to find or locate them! Thanks! Rory

I have used New England Chrome Plating Inc. in E.Hartford Ct. and was pleased with the quality of the job. www.newenglandchrome.com 860-528-7176 They plated my 51 grille parts and the rear pot metal Mohawks and all looks good with no problems with delivery time or price quoted. The person I worked with was Dean .That was three years or so ago and they are still there so at least that's a good sign as many come and go.
There is still a shop in Providence RI, International Chromium Plating. A woman owns the business and runs it. I’ve had South Shore plating in Quincy, MA (Ritchie) do chrome for me. I have also done a bunch with R&D (Rick or Nate)in Elizabethton TN. They are the cheapest as they have their own waste water treatment system. The other two charge you fees for that. All do very good work.
Advanced had a fire and I don’t think they’re back in business but I don’t know for sure.
I have used R&D Finishing in Elizabethton, TN for four cars worth of plating plus a few odd pieces. Exceptionally high quality, fair prices, on-time delivery and people who really will "make it right" if you have any issues whatsoever. Great people.
I am also at the point of getting ready for chrome. I too live in MA. I have been doing some checking myself. My brother used New England Chrome and they were very good. They did have to send the bumpers to Paul's Chrome in PA because they don't have tanks big enough to do them. I grew up in Quincy and went to school with Tommy Dede who owns South Shore Plating now that his father has retired. He doesn't do car parts because they are too big and doesn't want to do motorcycle parts because he can't be bothered. I've talked with Barr Chrome but wasn't impressed. Paul's in PA is good but very expensive. Tri City seems very good and reasonable, but they don't do pot metal. R&D Plating seems to be very good and they specialize in pot metal repair. I have also checked out Ogden Chrome but they seem to be on the expensive side. I have some pot metal to be done, (the bird radiator cap for my 35), and bumpers so I am thinking about R&D. They also guarantee their work. My only question I have is if they can keep the details (fine lines on door handles and script). I don't want to end up with smooth handles and smooth wings on my radiator cap
Thanks Steve D for the referral! I got a quote of $95 each from New England Chrome for my new 34/35 Chevy bumper guards I had just bought today on Ebay looking at in and around 4 to 6 weeks for a finished product! Here is my new parts!
