Hello everyone, I posted this in the paint and wood section but wanted to post here too.
Hello, anyone have any information/patterns/advice for wood for a 1929 roadster? Are any of the wood parts such as the main sill assembly universal or used on other 29 models? Thanks, Chuck

You can contact the Chevrolet wood people, KC Wood Mfg http://www.chevywood.com/ Autowood Restoration http://www.autowood.net/ As mentioned in a response to your other post there is a custom wood replacement guy that frequents Chat. Maybe he will fit wood to your body. I have also asked if any of the open car wood fabricators who supplied Ralph McEowen when he was alive have patterns. May know in the next few days.

I was told that Gary Schoyer, phone 937-726-3720 now has Ralph's patterns and is producing complete wood kits, both assembled and unassembled. I have no idea what the quality, delivery time, or price is. Hope that helps.
All the Best, Chip

Glad to hear someone is doing wood. I tried to purchase Bill Cartwrights car wood side of his business as he claimed the truck side was better and he already had a guy wanting that. Problem was he wouldn’t supply financials, didn’t want to split the business, nor was he going to sell future orders on the books. He also wanted all the inventory purchased at retail, only the special jigs and patterns were included, no tools. The cost was too high for it with no known ROI. Bill no longer makes much car wood and it’s a shame as his work is first rate.

Exactly. And he got very defensive when I said without that information I couldn’t purchase it. He then never returned another message or email from me about the business.
