Looking for an adapter so that we can use a 292 cu in and mate it with the original 3sp tranny on a 1951 Chevy 4dr sedan. Is such a thing possible and feasible?

There is a member of the other forum(blasphemy I know) who has on several occasions responded to questions about installing 250/292 engines in 49 through 52 chev.Apparently it can be done but maybe with a PG not a manual. talk talk talk

I hate to ask, because I am pleased with this forum, but any suggestions on where to look for more information about doing this. Maybe it would be cheaper to get the crank turned on the old engine. It had a 1954 235 in it and it ran great until he spun the bearings in it this summer
Thanks, Bob

I would suggest you contact Patricks in Arizona, they have a web site also try The Stoveholt Engine company, they also have a web site. You can do a search for either and should be able to get their web addresses.
