Hi,
I posess a Chevrolet since 20 years.
I bought it from a man who himself bought it 1930.
It was then second-hand.
I think it might be from 1929, but I'm not quite sure.
Chassis nmber is: C.9 783.6
Engine number is: 1 292 999
At some point in its life, it might be that a larger cabin was fitted.
On the rear it has dual tyres.
Brakes are not with cables but with 'linkages'.
The car was still in use in 1976.
It is complet but needs to be restored.
Were theses models delivered as a chassis with the front side mounted or were the delivered with a complet cabin?
How can I do to enter here a photo?
Are there reproduction parts to buy?
My message here was cut ?? a notice flood protection .... what does this mean.
Kind regards
Marc

Hi,
Thanks for this!!
So it is from 1929.
What do you know from this model?
My questions in the first topic?
Whre these cars assembled in the Usa and came then to Europe, or was the cabin made by independent ^coachbuilders'?
Greetings from Luxembourg

Hi Marc, The bed and cabin of your truck were probably made in Europe. From the chassis number it does not appear to be US production. Serial numbers in some countries may have had to conform to local regulations. For example, I was told that in Belgium the figures had to be all digits, no letters. Chevrolet chassis were assembled in several European locations. Some were exported from the US via Bloomfield New Jersey, most or all of these were assembled at Tarrytown New York.

If you have old Chevrolets, other old Chevrolets will find out where you live.
