Also you could really raise the compresion of a 350 with the smaller CC heads, and the valve size depending on the heads could really restrict your breathing. Why not just use a set of 350 heads? The are fairly common, and you will be assured of no problems. The head casting numbers of the 283 heads also would help with a determination.
