Let me start by saying I like old jacks for cars and trucks. All over the planet in dusty barns and old garages sit old forgotten jacks waiting for someone to discover them and send them back on a journey home to find their original cars or trucks. Seriously now, to help move this "migration" along I've spent 10 years working up a ID Guide for old jacks...! I won't be touching on tools for that's a huge expanse of knowledge to compile and I'll leave that to the individual clubs to wade thru.
Long term I'd really like to restore a old car dealership from the 1940's and make the biggest icecream shop / dance hall this side of the Mississippi. A man can dream right...!
Right now I'm working on early Chevrolet and GMC truck jacks of the 50's and 60's for there seems to be a lot of wiggle room when I see them posted online. Looking to nail down some part numbers and a reasonable time line of use. I have vending spaces at Hershey in the Green Field and you may have met me already as I always put out lawn chairs and a sign that reads "Free Rest Area".
