Does anyone have a copy of the installation instructions for the 1947-48 Fresh Air Unit? I just bought some used parts that included some of the parts from a Fresh Air Unit. I'm trying to sort out if I have a complete unit or if I'm missing anything. Thanks for your help!

1948chevy.com has pictures of all the parts from a new kit. Also has an instruction sheet but may be too small to read.

Yes-that was the first place I went. Not enough detail in the photo to tell. I messaged Johnny, but haven’t heard back from him.

Dale, I have an original of the install instructions. They are on a 11" x 17" paper, front and back, so would have to copy them into 4-8 1/2 x 11 sheets. Could e-mail to you if I had your address.

The accessory fresh air attachment always intrested me. Was first offered in 1942. They were never seen in this part of the country where they would have been a good combination with the Super Deluxe heater. The forced in air would have prevented the windows from frosting up in the interior and forced out drafts from around the doors, etc. by creating a positive pressure inside the cabin.
I installed the fresh scoop accessory on my '39 which was merely a chrome scoop on the side of the cowl the connected with the defroster. That version was an accessory on some 1939 and 1940 GM cars.
