I have noticed that the Chevy Chatter header has not been changed in a while and also that "Bolling Green" is spelled incorrectly in the header (someone mentioned the incorrect spelling several weeks ago). Now that Billy Boy Barker is no longer administrator of this site, who is the person responsible for changing the header periodically?

I think the "admin" is responsible but I have not seen any red lettered users very often. With all the changes they or whoever may be busy with unseen chores. If for reasons beyond their control they are unable to keep up then perhaps some duties could be performed by a moderator. My Emailed thread to Peter Gariepy has not been responded to and it does raise some concern.

I started a thread, regarding the "Bolling Green" on 12-24, thought it would encourage someone to make the change to the correct spelling ..... but it hasn't.

On another note, calling the member services number has gotten me a recording during working hours, took several tries to get a reply from Peter.

I paid my 2018 VCCA dues with Peter, then requested the December issue of the G & D, which I had not received.

Bottom line, I now have received a bill for the bill I paid, plus I still have not received my December issue from Peter.

The VCCA "heads" may have Peter operating in an "overload" state, with him trying to fill the shoes of three folks who are no longer working with the VCCA.

The backfiring is an indicator of a lean condition or ignition missing a beat or two.

Actually now the header that I see has only the VCCA and Filling Station Logos. I agree that some post are off-topic . The usual procedure as far as I have seen is a moderator (or other person ) may make an attempt to get it back on topic especially if it is a post by a "newbie" or someone that appears not to be too familiar with the forum procedures. If that fails and the poster then becomes abusive then perhaps the thread will get locked. In my "opinion" the moderators have a tough job as many users have a hard time following directions and continually stray from the recommended path. Fortunately most of the side trips are entertaining while a few do get dragged thru the mud. It takes a very dedicated person to work thru the mud slinging considering that person is a VOLUNTEER. Thank you to those that do so .
