Can anyone recommend a source for me to locate a floor mat for my 1939 1/2 ton chevy pickup. My current floor mat has split apart in many places and I do not remember who i bought it from possibly Chevy's of the 40's or The Filling Station. Thanks for your help.

Thanks for your help I will give them a try. Since I live in a cold climate (Maine) I suspect the splitting and cracking is due to temperature variations. It is interesting to note that I have had no similar problems with my 1931 Chevrolet Sports Coupe or any of my Ford Model A's and early Ford V-8's.

My experience with many of these reproduction parts is the lack of quality control with respect to both size and materials. To me the fact that you have had one mat fail while others have not indicate a difference in material for that mat.
Despite their best efforts the many places who we buy parts from do not have the capability to control all aspects of the manufacturer of the parts they re-sell.

The Universal replacement floor mats mat Chevrolet sold were of very poor quality also and did not "age" well.
