So I wanted to take my flywheel and pressure plate up to the machinist to be lightened and balanced. I had several to choose from but picked the two that had the best starter teeth. One is part number 835767 with a casting date of May 13 1929 It has a 9" disc surface. The pressure plate was extra stiff so I looked at the second setup I had. Its casting date was May 16 1933 but has the earlier pressure plate bolt spacing. Casting number is 837006 and has a 10" disc surface. Both of the pressure plates had the same casting number but would not interchange because of the 9" disc capture area on the earlier flywheel.

My questions are - could the second flywheel from 1933 be made for a 1-1/2 ton truck as a replacement? It had a 9" disc in it when I got it. I do not think I even have a 10" disc. Second question is, wasn't it 1932 that they went to the different pressure plate bolt pattern spacing on the flywheel?

My 29 to 34 master parts book does have either of these casting numbers. Both flywheel/pressure plate combinations were 54 pounds.
