I have a 35 Chevy Standard Coach. On ebay there is an original (according to seller) dashboard for sale. It has all the gages. it also has a switch for a heater and the hole for the temperature gage. Here is my question. The hole for the temp gage is to the right of the instrument panel about 2", the heater switch is to the left about 2". I was told the temp gage was to the left of the instrument panel about 8" or so. I don't know where a heater switch would go. I have a heater and switch to install myself. Where was the heater usually mounted? Where does the switch go?

Heaters were an accessory. No specific location for a switch.

The location for the Genuines Chevrolet heater switch would have been in the heater installation instructions that were included in the box with the heater.

Likely best to use the accessory hole in the dash for the switch seeing as the the heater was an accessory.

I installed the factory accessory temperature guage in my '35 Std Coupe many years ago, and it should be located to the left of the instrument cluster. I also
still have the original instruction sheet and can copy it if you need it.
