Thanks BigBob!!! :)

It's a '72, the last year of the 'first series.'

Pretty 'generic' Monte with 350/350, PS,PB, A/C, cloth interior. It was VERY black. I added duals and the 8" rallys, which I thought set the car off quite nicely.

Thanks again, BB!!

Bill.

Bruce, it 'was' the daily driver in the early 90's. As mentioned somewhere, I finally sold it to a neighbor/good friend who had 'wanted' it since the day I drove it home.

Thanks 'Chevrolet.' I feel the same. Only I was lucky enough to have one for a few years. They really are pretty nice cars. Basically a Chevelle with a real long hood and nicer amenities. Nice cars!!

Thanks for the nice thoughts guys!!

Bill.

exactly, 42bill...I always liked those chevelles, and still do...and the monte's of that first series were a classy design...

I think you mentioned that you had sold it in another thread...

Yeah, I agree 'Chevrolet.' They really did (do) look 'classy' for a Chevy. They have a more 'stylish' look than folks usually expect from the brand.

It seems like DeLoren had something to do with the design. Not sure. Maybe he was involved with the Pontiac Gran Prix which, as I recall, started in 1969. One year before the Monte Carlo.

Anyway, I share your enthusiasm for the early Monte Carlos. Nice looking cars!!!

Well, you newbies need to realize that some of us have been at this several years. Billy Boy BaRRker! Chipper,Ray , Gene, JYD, MrMack, And several others, some have dropped out others have dropped in. Some of us were also over at the Classicar site when they sponsered the Chatter, then Classicar went belly up for a year or so. Then we were fortunate enough for Billy Boy BaRRker to come along, and the rest is here for all to see and enjoy!

Have fun? is that the way for "stick to stock" Chevy guys should act?

OK, then.....

~~~~~~~~ Let the Fun & Games begin!!~~~~~~~~
