Hi. A few months ago I bought a 490 at a local net auction. I already have one 1919 restored and driving and as this car, when checking with local archives it was registered the same day as the one I already have. One odd thing though is, it has no car no, not on the registration forms or on the car. It was registered in Sweden Sept 29th and it is said there were 29 Chevys - 490s- imported to Sweden in the summer 1919.
I disassembled one hook for the hood and it had CANADA on the casting. The engine has the same cast no as the other, 8-30-18, although inverted. The first one is assembled in Tarrytown, could this be a Canadian car - both are right hand drive.

After further disassembly I found some relevant numbers, if someone can help
On head exhaust port - 3156695
Cast no - 18 -followed by a maple leaf?
- 0 16 7
On the block
Cast no 987 FMP 60 Inverted 8 30 18

On the flywheel - R 710

Also the valves have the adjustment on the top, my other 490 1919 has the adjustment at the bottom of the valve rod

Any info would be helpful

Thank you
Olle
