Hi,

I've got a 48 Fleetline with a 216. I just got a new overflow coolant tank to install. My instruction sheet says that I need to modify the radiator cap if its a pressure cap.
Does anyone have any insight on this?

Thanks

If a pressure cap is used a gasket must be used, It should insert into the cap so it seals against the filler neck flange. In the later models the gasket came with the tank.
You can cut one out of some water resistant material.
