I got a new fuel pump for my 1954 235 engine (for my 1941 Chevy Coupe). But the its walls are a 1/2 inch thicker and will require longer bolts to bolt it onto the engine. Also, there is no bowl. It is all enclosed, and the arm is really stiff, without a spring, and has very little give to it. Is this the pump that will work? Help. Thanks,
Dan.

I did as Tim suggested, used a pump designed for a 1980 Holden (Australian). I may have to rotate the valve body 1 screw position to allow the pipe/hose from the tank to go around the crankcase draught pipe. Tony

The new pump didn't work. I am getting a completely new steel line from tank to carburetor. Where can I get a new steel gas tank for a 1941 Chevy Business Coupe? I tried Chevs of the 4o's and The Filling Station. Thanks,
Dan.

Thanks for all the help. I have decided to get an entirely new fuel tank, lines and fuel pump. I am trying to get the old tank out, but the neck is not allowing me to do that. It does not have a clamp on the neck. I removed two nuts, but it won't budge. I tried tapping the neck with a rubber hammer, but nothing. How can I get that gas tank out of my 1941 Business Coupe?? Thanks,
Dan.

Dan The two straps need to be loose on both ends and removed and then you can tip the left end of the tank up and the filler neck will come down out of the quarter panel
