I need to replace the horn wire on my 32 1 1/2 ton truck. I took off the steering wheel and the tube and can see the contact ring but am afraid of damaging it. Is there any trick to getting it out of the tube? Thanks.

You will most likely need to remove the mast jacket from the truck, then a broom handle from the top and tap the bush down. It may well be ruined when it does come out. Tony

..........then a broom handle from the top and tap the bush down. It may well be ruined when it does come out. To clarify, the mast jacket is turned upside down (steering wheel end down) and the broom handle goes into the mast jacket from the bottom and the mast jacket bushing is pressed out towards the top which is steering wheel end of the mast jacket.
