Hi everyone.

I've been researching what's the proper paint color for the intake and exhaust for my 48 Fleetline Aero Sedan 216 engine. I've searched the forum and had no luck!

I've seen different variations online of either black intake and gray colored exhaust or the other way around. Does anyone have any info or pictures of the way it's supposed to be?

Thanks
Art

The complete engine (minus accessories like the starter, generator and etc.) was painted at the factory, therefore the intake and exhaust manifolds were painted engine color.......Dark Blue-Gray.

Lot's of great info!

Here's an excellent vintage factory film of how these cars were built. What a gem! From the hue of the engine and manifolds in this old film, it does indeed look like all these parts were painted the same color. Time on film for comparison is about 8:52s

Have fun watching! computer
