I have just looked inside my 1934 standard diff head and found the following problems. First the rivets are allowing movement between the crown wheel and the carrier..The second is that there is excessive play between the Differential side gear and the two spider gears (30 thou)
My Questions are
One. Can I buy replacement Rivets or is there a special nuts and bolts that can be used in replacement of the rivets.
Two Where would I find new replacement spider gear and carrier. I suspect this would be as hard to find as chook teeth. Do you think I would find two Cone bronze thrust washers to take up the play. I know some Differentials use them, but I am unsure whether Chevrolet had them or whether they were a replacement part.
I welcome any comments

Paul,

If you are seeking a differential pinion shaft PN 472535 and pinion gears PN 370325 I think I have some. They are left from when I did this 3.55 rear gear conversion in my '36 PU:

If those are the right parts for you you can email me at raywaldbaum@gmail.com.
