What is the correct size fender welting for a 1938 Chevy sedan? I have seen it available in 3/16 and 1/4 inch. Does it also go between the running board and the fender or just the welting without the piping? And finally, best place to buy for quality?

Thanks

The smaller 3/16" is correct. Between the running board and fender is just an anti-squeak.
I would guess tey all get it from the same place.
