A 1935 Standard came with 5.25X17 tires.
A 1935 Master came with 5.50X17 tires.
during WWII the 5.25 size was discontinued and replaced with the more common 5.50 size.

thanks!

so far the best-looking choice I find on line is the Lucas Olympic tread.

anyone have experience with these tires?

we plan to drive the car as much as we can.

Lucas is on the west coast, any suppliers closer to NC?

Try Universal Tire Co. They are closer and good to deal with. I think they are in Pa.

The correct size choice for 1935 Chevies (Master and Standard) is 5:25 5:50/17, since the 5:25 was discontinued and the 5:50 was designed to replace
both. I owned my '35 Std. for 43 years and that is what was used on it. As a youngster during WW2 my father had a '34 Master and that used the same
size tire! I used about three sets of Lester Wide Whites on my car, supplied by Universal Tire in Hershey Pa. with good results. The white walls were
beautiful, and the tire wore nicely and the car rode and handled well! I did have a problem once with a whitewall, I called them. and they sent me a
replacement wit no hassle! The only request was that I ship the defective tire back to them. I thought that was reasonable, and I did that. I would definitely
buy from them again! Phil Lipton

I have used Coker's Firestone Black Wall tires for both my car and truck. They bought the original mold from Firestone. You can't get any more original than that.

That's fine! I was only voicing my experience with Universal Tire and Lester. I wanted wide whites o my '35 coupe, and they worked for me! We are all
fortunate to have so many reputable vendors to chose from! Phil Lipton
