I can log in, view one, or two, some time 3 post, and then have to log in again....and again....and again. After this started I thought I may have a problem so I deleted the cookies along with my IT guy giving my computer a "professional" scan and got a good report. The situation still prevails. Tonight, I read a post in one forum and when I went back to the forum page guess what, I was no longer logged in even though I check the block to stay logged in.

Its to the point I hate coming back because I know I'm gonna have to log in over and over. It gets old after a while. I also frequent/belong to a couple other forums, similar to this one, just about every day, and have no problem at those.

Is there a common denominator here? anyone else having problems? any suggestions on what it could be?
Thanks, I'll check in tomorrow.

You might have a problem with our security protection software.

Tony, I think once a month or so is fairly standard. It could be a security issue to reset things but don't know for sure. I don't mind doing it every now and then. Beamer

Has everyone with log in problems checked their cookie settings? That is a good place to start. Beamer

He is spot on.
If you are having issues with keeping your login.
Select your name in the top right. while you are logged in.
Select cookies
Then select expire cookies.
Then login again.
It should resolve your problem.

Does it ever stop? Its getting to where its a real PITA. Even though I check the block to stay logged in... that is a joke! I don't mind signing in each time I come but I'm getting damned tire of having to do it over and over. Looked at two post tonight and bam, had to sign in again. I'm to the point I'm ready to throw in the towel. I delete cookies and other things to make sure I'm clean but it doesn't seem to matter. I'm just fed up. I pay to play and yet the others, where I don't have to pay, seems I rarely have a problem....and can even stay logged in from one day to the next. What gives here?
Oh well, this is my last rant on this. I can just hear some saying if you don't like it then move! dance

Contact Admin and provide them details on your Operating System, Browser and any security software you are running.

As others above, I have no issues and stay logged in on multiple devices for weeks.

My thinking is that there is a limitation on the cookies retained on your computer. Once the cookie is gone so is your log in.

Yes, for sure provide as many details as you can on how cookies are being handled on your computer.

If you clear cookies on your computer that will cause you to log out.
I would suggest after you login to select your name link on the top right ,Then select cookies in the drop down menu.
Then elect to expire cookies.
Note there are more than one cookie.
Of course that will mean you will need to login again.

Juist for info what are you using for a browser.
Microsoft IE,Microsoft edge,firefox, or what.?

Other items that may be needed is what os are you using, As well as what security software.?

Ruben, thanks for your response.
I delete the cookies regularly on all sites I go on including this one. For those who may not know it, once you delete the 6 or 7 cookies, you will find that there will always be 4 or 5 their no matter how many times you delete them. Last night I deleted 7 and if you check, I think there is 6 now. I know some have to be there just due to the site here....and everywhere else. Same thing on another forum I visit. I can delete 9 and tomorrow there will be 7 the first time I sign in. That said I honestly don't think its the cookies. I have also set my security to moderate as some sites won't even let you in if your security is to high. Been there, done that.

Rocha, I'm using Microsoft IE and have been for some time. Again, this is the ONLY site this is happening. It may be "me" but there is still a reason for this happening on this site. I really don't care if its fixed or not. I can visit and just signing in.

I guess I'll just shut up and practice what I preach.

there are 7 cookies set by this site.
The last one may be named different like ubbt_user
_ga
ubbt_myid
ubbt_hash
PHPSESSID
ubbt_mysess
_gid
ubbt_admin

The session cookies should change each time you visit.

It is best to expire them from your profile than manually deleting them.
So they all are synced together.
Then of course deleting the cookies will bump you off till you login again.

Then that means you are using a os older than windows 10?
