Can anyone tell me the part number for the GM replacement gear type oil pump for a 1929 194? Or is there a way to tell from looking at the outside if its a gear or vane type pump? chevy

The Chevrolet part number of the replace, emt 1929 oil pump is 604506. After about 1939 was vane pump was discontinued and the gear punp sold as a replace, emt. The gear pump is a version of the 1937-1939 pump modified to fit a 1929 with all the necssary parts for the installation including the oval screen. The 1929 pump was 7 5/16" tall (gear version)

Doesn't sound like the one I'm looking at... must be a vane type pump and not a gear pump.
