i'm looking to have some (not major) restoration work done on a 65 Impala Convertible - minor cosmetic work, paint touch up, re-chroming, suspension and a little body repair. Looking for a reputable resource in the Chicago area - but have been having trouble finding one. Any suggestions or restorers, or links to webpages that could help me find one would be appreciated.

Chevyimp 65---I used a guy that's north of you in Kenosha . Does good work (at least on my '40 Chevy ), J.C.Classic's 6011 75 th st. (that's hwy 50 ) Kenosha 262- 697 -8362, ask for Paul .He's not the cheapest guy around but does good work and keeps you informed and shows you the why's and wherefors of what he's doing b/4 he does it so you have an elective the work .Good luck with your project !!!

Chevyimp65----Sorry--don't know of him -checked the yellow pages could'nt find ( checked both yellow and white pages) anything on wilson Classics. asked a few friends around here (Twin Lakes is around 12-15 miles from Burlington -but no one has heard of them )

I have been impressed with The Hot Rod Haus in Trevor, Wisconsin. Trevor is just west of I-94 on County Hwy. C. They just finished work on my '56 Bel Air. Owner Dave Cross is great to work with. They are not cheap but they do quality work.

Yes---I agree with Steve ,they painted my '40 and did a super job !! Didn't realize they also did mechanical work also .
