LOL...yeah, I guess so. I only know of some original 1931 era photos that can be found on the web that show one. But there are no really good detailed photos that I've seen.
Here is a shot of the Cabriolet. The complete photo as well as a bunch of other really good period GM Photographic images are available from the GM Photo Store.
Hampton Coach told me they do not have any patterns for the top boot and Scott told me if I brought my Olds up after it’s completion, that they would use the car as a pattern to make one up. If I could find one that I could borrow, I’d send it to HC and let them copy it. I have a few factory pictures of the Olds with the cover in place and it seems all the factory pics show the collapsed roofs covered.
I had a local shop make the one for my 31 Roadster. He made it to fit with the same fabric as my top. I've had several early Roadsters and they have all seemed to just form fit. An experienced shop should be able to do it. Any deviations when your top was made or fitted could be problematic for a template made cover. That's one reason I gave up looking for a factory repo and just had one made to fit.

I have found an original top boot from a 32' Pontiac cabriolet. It is the same boot for the 31'-32' models of Chevy, Olds, Pontiac, and believed to also fit 50 series Buick. I am taking it to Lebaron Bonney tomorrow and having them duplicate it. I will take some pictures and post soon. If anyone is looking for a top boot/tonneau cover for a cabriolet, let me know as I'm already having two made up.
Chistech, I saw your other post about making a visit to LB\HC on Thursday. I will scan and post the other photo I know of a top boot for a 1931 Chevrolet Roadster. If I could I would like to send these photos to you personally. Then if you wouldn't mind taking these photos to them and see what they can do. Are you on Facebook? I can IM them to you.
