Electronic 700R4? computer controlled?  dance Probably will require a special wireing hookup to bypass a computer, and mounts and probably a modified driveshaft. have you tried some of the forums over at chevytalk or classicar? They have guys there that do that weird stuff, like change out modified for original......

The 1992 and earlier 700 trannys were not solenoid controlled only the torque converter lockup is wired. The 4L60E is the electric one i have gave thought of putting a 700 in my 63 four door hardtop for distance travel ,at the price of gas an extra two or three miles per gallon would be nice.I think you have to shorten the drive shaft and move the cross member to make it fit.And get the linkage right on the carb or it will blow its insides out.

hi guys we have just got the in a garage and have had some time to get the car up in the air and check things over. we did a mock up of the 700 and we found that a drive shaft out of a b body olds with small yoke fit perfect. the only problem was the cross member. but a easy fix. the other obsticle was the accumlater cover hits the right side floor pan which can be taken care of with a ballpene hammer.
