I've made a hard chose to sell my Chevy but no one really knows the true value. I thought if any one would know, it would be Chevy lovers. I have a 1969 Chevy Caprice with a 350 engine, bucket seats, a speed shift, and stock ac. It has to be worth more than the Blue Book price!

It's virtually impossible to answer that question without knowing the condition & model of the vehicle (mechanical & cosmetic), number of miles, etc. Is your car a 4dr, 2dr, station wagon, or ???? Is it low mileage with pristine, original paint or has it lived its' life through the commuter wars? Prices can vary greatly from area to area and depend on "curb appeal" (color, etc.), as well as salesmanship.

For a "ball-park" figure, the 'Old Cars Price Guide' (12/2004 edit.) lists '69 Caprices from $1400 #5 condition (4d, 9p Station Wagon) to $16,500 for a 2dr Custom Coupe in #1 condition. Quite a spread !

Well, you're right. "We" know. Or at least I do. But I can't tell you without 'viewing' the car. And anybody who says they can doesn't know what they're talking about.

And I'm not coming to Sacto unless you pay my expenses.

The good news is YOU can do some research. Buy an Old Car Weekly price guide. Check some 'specialty car' car lots in Sacto. Buy an Auto Trader or a national "old car" Auto Trader. You'll figure it out.
