Hello All,
I am new to the club and have a '51 StyleLine Deluxe that I need an exhaust manifold for. It is a 216 CI engine. A previous owner installed a dual exhaust (Corvette) manifold and Offenhauser double carb. intake. I have the original intake. I also have a 235 CI intake/exhaust set that I would be willing to trade straight up for the exhaust I need. The casting number I need is 3835388. I hope that posting this here is OK.
Thanks for looking.
Jeff

I do want to either sell the pair or trade for what I need. I have de-rusted the exhaust using EvapoRust and the heat riser works perfectly. I removed one broken exhaust pipe stud and the threads are OK. The intake is just as I bought it with both carb studs intact. Do you have an exhaust manifold that I need? My name has somehow changed to "Jeff1951" since I posted the original post.

My exhaust is a 235, I don't have a 216. Do you have a price on your dual set up?

I will take $85 plus shipping for the set. The intake is #3836922 dated C14 57. The exhaust is 3835587 dated D 24 57. I will go to Fed Ex and get the exact shipping cost.

That sounds very fair. Any chance you could give me the date code on the reverse side and the approximate shipping cost?

It's yours. Send me your zip code and I will get the actual shipping cost on Monday. If it is easier, email me at jeffstuarts@gmail.com.

This is not for the dual exhaust/intake. It is for the 235 original single carb/single exhaust. Sorry for the confusion.

As of now the dual exhaust setup is still on the car and is not for sale. The stock 235 intake/exhaust is.

You know Jeff, you could consider using the 235 manifolds with alignment rings to fit the 216.

It depends on how original you want to be.

Alignment rings are sold by various old Chevy vendors to adapt 235 to 216.

Yes, I am aware that this possible. The intake that is on the car now is original to the car and I have arranged for a correct exhaust which could be here next week so I prefer to go that route. BTW- if this will help someone out: I soaked the rusted 235 intake and exhaust in EvapoRust over night and the parts came out like fresh, new castings. I made a fixture to hold enough chemical to cover each part separately and let them soak. Then cleaned with soap pads and they look new,
Jeff
