I think you should find a company that specializes in six cyl hi-performance parts like CLIFFORD RESEARCH in California and talk to them. They will be the perfect source as they have been doing it for a long, long time. Know what they are talking about rather than others who are guessing.

Camshaft and timing is critical on an engine that's supercharged. Head should be massaged to create higher flow. Get too high a compression and you might not be able to get gasoline to run it without retarding timing.

Its what I would do

Another resource for you are the inliners. They are all about hot rodding inline engines. Here's their web site: Inliners International

Also, you might get more advice/info if you post your question in the Personalized Modifications forum (Personalized Modifications).

There is a company near Sandy OR called "6 = 8" that has a running 34 with a 292 and a blower. Pretty wild looking. I think his name is Paul Larrowe. His dad (Dick) was VERY knowledgable on the 29 series before he passed.

I ran a 250 back in the 70s. It had the Clifford intake and headers, an Isky 505. Bored .125 with 327 pistons. The head reworked with Pontiac V8 valves. The F**d 300 could not touch me!
