I just had a look at a 1933 two door that is selling locally by auction on Sunday. I'm interested in this vehicle but I'm not sure how original it is. It appears that only the body work was done and the rest is original. According to the tag which may or may not be original to the vehicle the Job # is 3351, the Body# is S 2833, Trim# is 25, Paint# is 139 12. I believe it is a Standard Coach I'm wondering about the dual sidemounts. It has the bolt holes for the spare tire bracket at the back so I suspect that the front fenders are not original. Is there anything else that anyone notices that don't appear correct? What about the headlights? Any help or advise would be much appreciated. the system will not let me open the pictures I get an error file 403. So something is wrong..........
A 1933 Chevrolet standard CC series 5 pass coach is model # 33501, think you have not typed in correct fisher body model number.
only 773 were made in Canada
If the front fenders do not have that stylized V stamped into the front edge of the fender its a standard........if it does have the V its a master series.
A 33 standard has a 107 inch wheelbase, a master is 110 inch wheelbase. Measured axle center to axle center.
welled front fenders were available from the dealer. The rear spare mount holes in the gas tank cover panel were there stock.

Definately a 33 master coach. Dual spares are highly desirable . Car is missing front and rear bumpers, running board rubber available reproduction , also needs the metal backing plates to attach the rubber to the running boards. Drivers side tail light arm, pot, lens and license plate holder is missing. They turn up fairly often on ebay USA. Crank hole cover common to 33 only is also missing. With the dual side mounts a factory luggage rack would be installed out back. Not sure if a Canadian version was available. Again they do show up on ebay in the $600---1500 range if totally complete. Canadian built cars did not have the hood with the doors, it was a louver hood. mike lynch

This car was built in St. Louis, Missouri. The S in the body number indicates St. Louis factory and it was the 2833rd coach built in the 1933 model year. that would have been early and it looks as though the division bar between the side windows and the wind wings lowered with the window. If it has its original sill plate with the serial number it would probably read 3 CA 11 or 12 or 01 with another number following. 3 would be the factory St. Louis, 11 or 12 would be November '32 or December '32 or 01 January '33 and the number following the total number of the Chevrolets out of that factory in the model year up to that point.
The original paint scheme would be really beautiful on this car. #139 was Regent Maroon with a Black body moulding and Gold Bronze pinstriping. Wheels were either red or black. Other members with that color scheme could show exactly how it should look. I believe there was a photo in one of the G&D's
Not sure what the 12 stamped after the paint number means if anything.. Did you buy it?
