The armature number would give an idea where the gen could be used. Although most armatures were superseded by 1871826. the early chev parts book( mine goes up to 1942) woul show on what particular generators the armature was used on.

It is a 1935 0r 1936 Master generator. The pulley/fan and holes drilled in the front and rear end frame indicate that. That makes it an air cooled generator and can charge at a higher rate than a 1932 generator. Also it could be a Universal Delco replacement generator which Chevrolet sold for replacement in the later years for 1929-1939 replacement.
There should be a band covering the brush area.

Thank you guys…I guessed it might be a 35 just from the open frames. I have the band that covers the brush area. It works really well too. I guess I will let it go to someone who needs a good generator. Best and thanks again.
