Can any one give me some insite on changing the diff. gears on my 1961 Corvette.
I have 3.73 gears in it now and would like to change to 3.55.
Now the hard part, can I use gears from a 1955 Chevrolet sedan and put these into the 61 Corvette?
Are the splins going to match from the 61 axle to the 1955 diff.
Or do I need to change the axles to?
Or change the entire rear end?

the 55 pass car 3.55:1 ring and pinion will fit your 61 vette differential case without modifications and the axle splines will fit the 55 spider gear splines.any 55 thru 64 chevy pass complete differential will interchange with the 56 thru 62 vette axle housing. mike
