I am asking for help to determine correct color code (for the blue color shade) used on 1939 Chevrolet Trucks. Any information you could provide would be greatly appreciated concerning color name, code or manufacturer of the paint used on a 1939 Chevrolet Truck. I am trying to match this blue color shade using today's paint products. I have been working with local PPG paint supply, but have not had any success to date.

1939 Chevrolet trucks had three standard colors and several options. The standard colors were Swift Red, Brewster Green and Export Blue.
The Export blue, a medium dark blue, was used from 1936 through 1946. Dupont DULUX (enamel) number was 93-3430.
A good professional auto paint store should be able to eye-match the color.

I am new to this forum (although I am a long time VCCA Member) so I hope i am replying to your post correctly.
Thank You very much for the information you provided. I saw a 1939 Chevrolet Truck painted this color several years ago and really liked the way it looked.
I am putting this paint on a different 1/2 ton pickup truck with the hope I can duplicate this color. I absolutely loved the look of that truck, but have long since lost contact
with the owner. So again thank you for your help.
