chevs of the fourties offers a 'bolt in" disc brake conversion for 37 pass cars. Wondering if anyone has experience with this installation that could advise.
want to get to 15" gm wheels and keep the original steering.

Converting to disc brakes involves more than just putting rotors & calipers on.

You need a dual corvette master cylinder either power or non power and 1" bore or less. Bigger is not better.

To operate power assisted brakes your motor needs to produce 18---21" of steady vacuum at idle.
large overlap + lift camshaft is not your friend.
If your cam motor only produces 13-14" of vacuum you will need an electric vacuum pump .
Or go to non power assist manual brake master.
You will also need to get a disc-- drum gm combination valve.
You will need to change the front steel brake lines from 1/4 " down too 3/16"

Been there done all this, and doing it again.
