Hello all. I've recently purchased a 1939 MasterDeluxe. It runs and drives but needs a complete restoration. I've restored a1951 Chevy 3100 pickup but never a car let alone a car this old. I'm looking forward to this journey but know I'll need some help and advice along the way. Could I get some recommendations for the manuals and shop books I'll need to purchase and also vendors. I've just recently became a vcca member and I'm looking forward to learning as much as I can from these forums. Also , the gas gauge is missing from the instrument panel, could someone point me in the right direction to find one. Thank you.

wel2

All the books and manuals are available from www.fillingstation.com
I would suggest and owners and shop manuals and the Engineering Feature manual for starters.
Also get the F.S. printed catalog as they have a ton of parts.
The 1939 had two different colored instruments,.The early had brown face with ivory needle and late had ivory face with red needle,.
