I don't know wheree the best place to post this but owing to my suspecion that there are others out there like me maybe here will be satisfactory. I hope so.
I want to post pictures here on the Chat. I don't know how.
If someone would please give all of us who are like me a tutorial on posting photos, I and they would much appreciate it.
If there is guiedance somewhere on the chat that is easy to follow without having a PHD in Photography that might work as well. Note here: You who are schooled in computer sciences think this is so elementary that you marvel at the stupidity of those of lesster smarts, need to take a deep breath and assume you are talking to an idiot. Me.
This here right here posting of pictures should not be something reserved for "Fig Newtons."
If this request can be answered to the end that I can post pictures, then, I think highly of whoever does the 101 class in photography. Yes, I will.
Here's hoping that my wish will come true even without a scintilla of belief that such will be realized.
VCCA members have access to a list of over 50 Technical Advisors who can help you with your car. It's worth the price of membership! While you can get a lot of information for free in this forum, sometimes the info that you REALLY need is only available from the right person. This is what "The World's Best Chevrolet Club" is all about!
When posting a reply or post you will see three buttons in at the bottom of the reply box, choose Use Full Editor, when the next screen appears loo k for Attachment Manager and click on that. Then click on select a file which should open up your files. You may have to search around a little if your pictures don't come up first. When you find the picture you want to post click on it so it is highlighted and click open. Give it a little time and it should be there. I posted one since I have not committed it to memory!
If you're starting a thread or replying to a post and click the "Use Full Editor" button you will see the "Attachment Manager" to the left below the text box. Click that. A small window will open. In that window you'll have three options. One to drag & drop the image, one to "Select A File To Attach" and "Done". I use the Select button which opens another window showing the file structure on your computer. Navigate to the image you want to attach and double click it. Once it' uploaded a thumbnail of the image will appear in that same small box. Then click "Done" and the small box will go away. Then click Post Reply at the bottom of the text box. The result will be similar to below.

I see the "Use Full Editor Button", but when I click to the next page I do not see the "Attachment Manager" option. The only way I can post pictures is by linking them from another web page.
I just did a test and my photo came up fine. I quickly deleted the post because it was a picture of me and my friend's cat which doesn't have anything to do with cars! The Full Editor worked as advertised. Beamer
So sorry to be a pest, but I do not see the "Attachment Manager" button. When I scroll down to the bottom of the page I see "Privacy Policy", "Forum Rules", Etc. but not the attachment manager.
Well, I did just as you said and guess what. Give the man a cigar! That's right, absoultely nothing.
Something was left out by Dean, Dave and Tiny. Could they hate my guts as to be so cruel? No, I don't think so either.
I'm going to go back through the process one more time and if I get the same results, I'm going to look arount the house for a live 45 round. I've got the means (Colt 35 is right here in the closet behind me), oppotrtunity (the door is closed and the rest of the family will be grieved for about as long as it takes a former Marine to tell you he was one. I know, I know. Always) and reason (well, if you knew just how stinkin frustrating a computer can be to a person that still uses pencils, then you may understand. I just need the stinkin live bullet.)
You who know how to do this stuff eptimize the saying: Those that can do and those who can't teach. Thouble is the teachers can in this instance but always leave something crritical out of the process just because they get their kicks out of us nitwits who can't work a computer as well as a two-year old.
I'll wait a spell to try once more. It wouldn't be a fair trial right now. You see, I just got home after some driving around town. It's a beautiful spring day here in NC and all the idiot drivors are out doing their stupid things. The most frustrating is getting behind a little old lady driving her old Toyota like she wants it to last forever. Don't get me started.
You all stand by. If you don't hear anything from me pretty soon then you know that I have left the planet.
Best to all but Tiny, Dean and Dave, LOL Stinkers all!
After going to "Use Full Editor", the Attachment Manager location is shown in my attached photo. If it's not there, you should probably contact Peter Gariepy to find out why.
Well, I think I made some progress. Thouble is a message keeps poping up saying the photo cannot be more than 2MB and says that I need to return to the previous page. Ever heard of a circle?. Whatever that is and how in the world do I know that data for my photos?
Still haven't found a live round but I'm still looking.
Dean, You were 100% on. ZigZagZ was not listed as a VCCA member. I have corrected that since I could verify a member in Jefferson, LA. He should be able to post photos now.
ZigZag That would be the earliest version of overhead cam engine I have seen. There is the opportunity for lost motion and late valve timing but while new with little wear all would be fine. Now that you are an approved member go into the "My Profile" drop down and add the VCCA logo under your log in. Tony
Tony, the 300 CID Frontenac was used by Louis Chevrolet at the 1916 Indianapolis 500. It was a masterpiece, and featured an aluminum block, a dry sump oiling system, and a drive shaft running off the crank to turn the cam. The initial design did not perform well, and it wasn't until 1917 that Louis Chevrolet began winning races with it.
I have added the member logo to my profile per your suggestion. I appreciate everyone's help.
