I think I fell asleep during part of the class about attaching pictures.

I just added 3 photos to a post through the Attachment Manager. The photos are visible in the post. I did resize 2 of them to get the file size below 2 MB using Paint. That went great thanks to the new capability in the forum software.

I typed captions for each of them as I added them. However, those captions are not visible in the post or when I click on the photos to open them in a separate window. All that shows is the same file name which the photo has on my computer.

What did I miss?

Thanks!

If you only missed that much you only had a little snooze. I havent tried to add many photos as yet but I guess I will be asking for instructions when I do try.

Wouldn't you have to add the captions to the photos by means of a photo editor program ,on your computer, before you up load them here?

It's been my experience that you need to enter the caption BEFORE selecting and adding the photo. Then, when someone clicks on the photo to see it in a larger way, the caption appears next to the image name.

I have not seen a way to edit the captions. But, I have deleted a photo that didn't have a caption and readded the pic after I typed in the caption and shore 'nuf, the caption was there.

Thanks Dean!

I will try that sequence. I figured it could be something subtle like that.
