A few of us with GM Canada produced vehicles have found ourselves with engine casting numbers that are very different from USA casting numbers.
I would like to start collecting data as this is not well documented. Maybe posting this will actually find someone with more Canadian Data. Prefer vehicles older than 1955 for now.

I will not disclose personal information.

I am looking for:

1) Year/Make/Model of vehicle, serial # optional
2) Block Casting # and Casting Date Code
3) Head casting # and Casting Date Code

Transmission, differential or other casting/stamping codes could also be useful. Even details from that old engine laying behind your garage could be useful...

Prefer Private Message and emails. Photos of the #'s is always good.

I have 2 blocks I suspect are Canadian 1 came out of my April 38 1/2ton truck and the other out of a 39 1/2 ton. I will list the numbers when I get a chance though 1 head is at the machine shop at the moment. I also have what I think is a 235 block that I will add to the list.
