Please tell me the size of the fitting that mounts into the fuel inlet of the Rochester carb.
Looking for a 45 degree or 60 degree inlet fitting, in order to mount a glass bowl inline fuel filter.
The engine is a 1955 235, with Rochester manual choke carb.
Car is a 1951 Styleline Deluxe.
Thanks.

On the Rochester carbs I have the inlet is 1/8" female pipe. I have a couple of inline Carter fuel filters and they have the same inlet and outlet size.

Hardware stores and car parts places carry brass elbows and other fittings that have 1/8 NPT threads.
Cheers, Dean

The 45 degree is common but I am not sure about the 60.

The fitting you want is called a "street elbow" as it will have a male and a female thread of the same size. Best to try an automotive store as it will be a hex or square body style that you can get a wrench on. Weatherhead number is CA360. Not a lot of places carrying brass fittings these days. If you strike out with the auto parts stores you might try an industrial shop that makes up hydraulic hoses. Good luck.

Bob, I have also had good luck with NAPA A/P. They generally carry a good selection of old school fittings like Weatherhead and Balkamp. No joy--go to www.napaonline.com
