When you are in Peterborough, you will be 45 minutes from Oshawa. Home of GM Canada.
There is the Oshawa Automotive Museum. It's small and old but interesting.
Parkwood Estates is interesting but been years since I've been there. This was the home of RS Mclaughlin who was one of the founders and ran GM Canada. The home is now a museum.
Mclaughlin Public Library also has info on GM Canada.

There is only a couple inches behind my bench seat before hitting a solid wall of plywood that boxes in the fuel tank and separates the cab from the rear compartment. There is a package shelf just below the window about 15" deep.
I've seen pictures of some models (likely full sized US bodied Pontiacs) that have a folding front seat and a wooden shelf/cabinet unit covered with a fabric curtain but mine is just like the basic Chevy Coupe that it's built from. There is also a model out there with small folding jump seats on each side in the rear.

Tim, I'm interested in attending the meet in Peterborough. I was curious as to how dire the need is to get our reservations in for our rooms at the host hotel?

It's easier and safer to book your room now and then cancel if you need to. If I remember correctly you must cancel 31 days before the events. You can verify that with the hotel when you make your booking.

I just made my motel reservations this morning and the Cancellation Deadline is stated as Sunday, July 8, 2018 before 4:00 pm hotel time which is the day I am checking in. The cancellation can not be made via email!
