Does anyone have a measurement for the sill kick-up bracket(s) from left side to right side at the top bolt/ (screw) hole for a 1932 Special?

I do not have a 32' to measure but the rear pan saddles the kickups. There is a 1/2 sq. strip of ash that is nailed to the outside edge of each kickup top then the pan gets nailed down just inside those strips. Here is some pictures of my Olds restoration. They should help. If you look closely at the picture with the pan in place, you will see the 1/2" sq strips nailed to the top of the kickups, even with the outside edge, and the pan fastened just inside them. All these parts were made and not a kit so everything was measured from what was left and original wood was used as gauges to set up pieces as that original wood was replaced. The pictures should give you an idea how the kickups get mounted. If your main sills are on your chassis and they at least have the bolts dropped through the mounting holes, you should be able to line things up fairly well. I don't know on the 32' special if the top front corner of the kickups has a cross sill that ties the two together and sets the width of the kickups. My Olds has a kickup cross sill. The back edge of the kickup is even with the end of the main sill in the rear fender well area. The outside edge of the kickup is even with the outside edge of the main sill. The width of the rear of the kickups gets set by they rear cross sill and the rear body mount plates that fit in the corner of the kickup and the rear cross sill.

Thanks for the response. My 32 does not have the strips on the kick-up. the original shows the floor pan to be nailed to the top of the kick-up. There is no cross sill at the front of the kick-ups as the pan has a drop just in front of the kick-ups and goes all the way to the cross sill for the tool pan (under the front seat) and nails/screws to it. The pictures are very helpful and I really appreciate them.

I believe they all have 1/2" strips as that is what the interior panels get nailed to. On the angled part of the kickup there is also a strip for tacking the interior to. The floor pan is nailed to the top but usually, just inside the nail strips. I haven't done an interior on a 32' to know for sure. I know my Olds is a 32' and it has nail strips. Hopefully someone with a 32' 4dr special will chime in.
