I would like to know the last model year that Chevrolet used the "X" frame. I think it was 1960, but am not sure.

The X frame was used on full sized chevrolets from 1958-64.

Seeing he was refering to 1960 I would assume that he was talking about the late cars with the X and no side rails. Also used on 1957-60 Cadillac and 1958-60 Pontiacs.

The first Chevrolet to use an X in the center of the frame was the 1935 Standard. Then the 1941-57 convertibles had the X added to the standard frame. The 1934-36 Masters had a YK rather than an X.
pushrod-no Beaumont.....just Grand Junction at this point.

The glass from a 1958 Chevrolet and any Pontiac is the same. That would be US or Canadian Pontiac. The Impala glass is different from the other body styles due to the lower roof, etc. The Laurention floor pan would be the same as a Chevrolet.Outter body sheet metal different as well as the front sheet metal (hood and fenders)
