I couldn't find anyone offering a day/night mirror for the 38 Master. I had previously bought a used one on Ebay that turns out to be what Chevs of the 40s describes as a 1942 to 1950 day/night rear view mirror. It has a mounting stub that has a 5/16 fine male thread. So I purchased a used 1938 rear view mirror and cut the mirror off the stem. The remaining stem is the correct size to cut a 5/16 fine thread on. So I cut the thread and I am going to join the two with a long nut. It will then mount correctly in place of my original mirror. Having a day/night rear view mirror will be quite helpful for me in night driving.

My 1951 1 Ton is now on the road! My 38 Master 4 Door is also now on the road .
