Station Wagon, they were built on the 2 door wagon platform, that is why they were dropped in 61 along with the 2 door wagon. Jim Warger in Ohio has a few 59 frames for sale, he always has an ad in the G&D

A 1960 frame will work on a 1959 model, it is much improved. It has the solid bulkhead for the upper control arm to attach to rather than the short bracket that the 1959 frame had. I rebuilt a 1959 ElCamino several years ago and used the frame from a 1960 Impala 4 door hardtop. It had one extra body mounting bracket on it that ElCamino didn't have, I just left it on but it can be easily removed. If you look in any of the early 60s parts books it will show the 60 frame as a replacement for the 1959 model.
