Hey, If I can get back on, it has to be easy for anyone ! Not certain what was all done here, but at 10:15 P.M. Sunday evening, 1-21-2018, it's working.

Peter did announce a shut down a couple of days prior but it didnt last as long as he envisaged, I am not sorry either.
So far I havent found any glitches which is a bonus.

Today was the first day I tried this site at work since the changeover and it was flagged as Pornography. I requested a reclassification of the site through the screening app as I’m sure IT will be flagged to investigate someone browsing porn on a government computer.
This is the only message I’ve received of this nature ever at work.
The good thing was I tried it on my phone and it looked decent.

Apparently some people are confused.
If you are a member of the forum previously, you DO NOT need to register again. Your username and password work in the upgraded forum.
I've changed the wording on the home page to clarify this a bit: "VCCA MEMBERS: Unless you did so previously, VCCA members must register to use the forum. Once registered ask to get access the members-only area."

Peter, As someone with some experience in what you have accomplished, I think you've done a fantastic job. Things certainly seem to be running well. Very few small hiccups and it seems that you have been able to clear them all up very quickly. Bravo Bravo   The only thing that I have seen that I would prefer, is for the Active Threads list to be a little tighter or more condensed so that it isn't where you have to scroll so much to see the complete list. Maybe a smaller preview window for each thread. That might not be something that you can change. I can certainly live with it. Again, great job.

I agree. When you click on Active Threads, each 'preview' of the new post contains too much verbiage. I think only two lines are necessary to get the drift of the post and then more previews would fit on the page. Thanks, Dean

Hey, one other thing. I sure wish there was a like / dislike button on comments. Just a thought. I agree, I also like Like Buttons. Not only is it a quick way to communicate, but it saves space. Without them it is either a reply or nothing. Many times it's not worth replying to, but well worth hitting that Like Button, lol.
