While checking out my new 60 El Camino I found a form (CHEV 100.7.59) that looks to be on computer roll paper titled "Passenger Car Broadcast Copy." It has a number of boxes on this form and I expect that the 1180 Model is for the El Camino. The color block is 983A that I expect is red. Trans is 3 that I expect is three on the tree. Deluxe is a 2, no idea on this one. Seat Equip is a 4. I expect that this is for the vinal bench seat. And since the SN matches the number on the title, I expect that this is some form of a build sheet. Any one out there that can help on this one?

That is the build sheet. I have found several of them attached with undercoating behind the inner splash fender on the right front on early 60's cars. Apparently the man in the pit dabbed it on there as the car exited the assembly line.

Are the option numbers shown on the sheet?1960 truck data book lists Red as option #923-paint numbers don't go as high as 983.The only option with "DeLuxe" mentioned is steering wheel with horn ring option # 348 $3.80.Option #335 is for foam rubber padded front seat$7.55.No covering material options were available. El Camino with 6 cyl. engine is a model # 1180-and 8 cyl. a 1280. Chevrolet did not state production numbers for El Caminos according my books.I will keep searching as I thought that I had seen it some where. Also did not break down 6 and 8 cyl. numbers.A 6 stick was a common version.
