My '57 has Treadle Vac brakes and the brake peddle goes too far down when stopping. I would like to have more 'peddle'; what do I need to do?
Thanks.

If the brake adjustment is OK there is something wrong with the master cylinder...which is built into the unit. The complete unit should be rebuilt and it is a saftey issue. When it happened on mine the brakes finally failed completely. When working correctly there is very little pedal travel. Note that when the pedal is depressed and the engine not running the pedal will go almost to the floor.
