I'm putting on new tires on my 25 Chevy K. Any tips on how to get the split rims back together a little easier than I've been having luck with? I've got 3 of 4 done and it was a struggle and can't get the 4th one all the way back together to snap in place. Any tools to use, ideas apppreciated. Thanks.

Use a car jack, port-power or other device to push the two parts of the rim together. Of course there is special three legged tool designed to collapse the rim and then push it back together.

That 3 legged spider shows up on ebay once in awhile ...But maybe you could rent/borrow one from a member in your area...Ebay price the last time was about 50.00$

Universal Tire has them listed on their site as "Rim Jack- Used" call for availability. Price listed was $80.00 but I am not sure if that is current. Good photo and description of how it is used.

Found several different sellers on e-bay. Some as low as $40, others at $150. The tool works great along with a rubber mallet. Well worth the money.
